Hi, I'm Summer

I'm a full-time wedding photographer and filmmaker, and this job is the joy of my life. I'm so beyond grateful to be trusted with so many people's stories — I've been the lead shooter on over 150 weddings throughout my career so far.

I lean toward the unposed and the natural. The small moments and the in-betweens get just as much of my attention as the big, grandiose ones, because it takes both sides to actually tell the story. I never want you to feel like an actor on your wedding day —
 I want to document you exactly as you are, because that's where the real story is. That's where the real magic is. The stuff that actually happened, and the emotion behind it, is what's genuinely worth documenting.

My hope with every wedding I shoot is that the work means even more in five, ten, or fifteen years than it does on the day I deliver it. Life is long, and relationships are kind of the whole point of it. Weddings are such a beautiful opportunity to document that — and I try to walk into every one with that same reverence.
